Leave a Gift on a Friend's Doorstep - 55 of 101 in 1001 List

While Lisa and I were out checking out the Christmas items at some stores I found the perfect just because present for my friend Amanda.  She's preparing to celebrate a Woodland Critter Christmas, so this little guy needed to make his way to her house.

They had a whole set of woodland critters made out of natural materials.  This little hedgehog/porcupine seemed the most woodland crittery to me, but still was not a squirrel or a mouse, which I just can not support.

Even though I'm so sneaky, Amanda caught on that maybe I helped Gossip Girl get the gift to her house.  She's smart like that.

I even had some woodlandy paper handy!

Here it is, hanging on the door, just waiting for Amanda to come home and be so surprised.

And the best part is when her screen door is closed the present is not even visible.  That means it's a for real surprise when she opens the door after a long day at the library.

Although leaving a present on a doorstep was on my 101 list (I actually put it on there after I dropped off some awesome Barbie books last winter at Amanda's in preparation for our dressing as Barbie for Halloween, but that time I got caught - she was unexpectedly home!), I totally would have gotten this ornament for Amanda anyway.  I just think it's perfect for her Christmas this year.  And I had so much fun sneakily leaving the present behind.  It almost killed me that she wasn't going to see it for hours - I wanted immediate gratification!

I loved the surprise present, maybe more than Amanda did.  So fun!
